As a kid growing up in Europe, I had always known of Jojoba and it’s aid to the skin but never had I thought to use it on a burn? I burned myself rather badly whilst attempting to wax my legs. The tub dropped from my hand, bounced off my leg and sprayed burning hot wax across my ankle and foot. I instantly ran it under water and strapped ice in a towel to my ankle and foot … but then I had to clean the carpet free from wax before it cooled and stuck completely!

I had to catch a flight that same morning and thought my only option would be to keep applying Aloe Vera gel. Which I did, every 30 minutes and I must say within four hours the burn no longer ached. It just looked awful. The skin had blistered so greatly that the blister easily sat 1cm above the skin, people were slightly shocked.

When I reached my destination, which just happened to be a natural therapy trade event, I met this wonderful man who immediately said to me … “Start rubbing this in now. It will greatly reduce the scarring and will help immensely with the healing.” This man was Chris Black of Jojocare Australia. Thankfully, we work in the same industry and the universe delivers to me the people I need when I need them!

I used the Golden Jojoba every 30 minutes for the first few days, then twice a day for two weeks. Within two weeks the blister had almost healed, sinking slowly back to the skin and drying out. I kept up with the Golden Jojoba everyday for another week still and by the end of the third week the harden skin from the blister had started to flake off, leaving scar tissue underneath. Three weeks, and it was healed!

This happened two months ago, and now there is barely a scar there. I still use the Golden Jojoba two or three times a week, but not just on my scar … I use it after my shower to moisturize my skin, I use it on face to remove make-up, I use it to smooth out my curly hair, I use it to moisturize my lips and I add essential oils into it and use it for massage also … I reckon there are endless uses for it!

I trust it implicitly.
